27 foot skiff (Capt Jim Hammond's Boat) This is the most stable boat you will ever fish in. My boat is 27 feet long, 9 feet wide with high sides. It floats in 8 inches of water and is very stable. It is powered with a Honda 225, quite, smoke free outboard to get us to the spots quickly. It has a Bobs Machine hydraulic jack plate to get us in the shallow waters. Equipped with the latest 36 volt Minn Kota 101 pound trolling motor and the latest Humminbird color recorder, plotter.

65 foot party boat. This boat is for large groups, up to 40 passengers.

This boat has an air conditioned salon and restrooms. The boat is available for

deep sea fishing, burial at sea and river cruises. The cost for a full day of deep sea fishing

for up to 40 people is $4100. This includes rods, reels, tackle, bait and fishing license.

No HARD LIQUOR. Minimum age is 6. No pregnant persons.

Offshore fishing, means in the ocean (deep sea)

Offshore fishing can be trolling for kingfish, bottom fishing for grouper, 

drift fishing for tarpon or fishing for several other species.

 

• King Mackeral:  We can king mackeral fish with live bait of dead. We can troll, drift live pogies or troll with ballyhoo or cigar minnows. (See A)

•  

• Cobia: Cobia can be caught in all of the same ways as king mackeral, sight casting and bottom fishing. (See A)

•  

• Sailfish: Sailfish are usually caught trolling baits, either live or dead. (See A)

•  

• Dolphin Fish (Mahi Mahi): Dolphin fish come through in the summer and again in the winter and can be caught by trolling a live or dead bait. These fish are one of the most beautiful and come out of the water on several aerial jumps during the fight. (See B)

•  

• Tarpon: Tarpon can be caught on live of dead bait, drift fishing or tossing a bait behind a shrimp boat. (See A)

•  

• Sharks: Sharks can be caught the same way as tarpon and we have spinner sharks here and they usually come sky rocketing several times during the battle. (See A)

•  

• Grouper:  We have a pretty good supply of grouper and they are generally caught while fishing on the bottom. (See A)

•  

• Red Snapper:  We also have a pretty good supply of snapper and they are also caught while bottom bumping. (See A)

•  

• Sea Bass and Vermillion Snapper:  These are smaller fish (usually 1 to 3 pounds) that are caught while bottom fishing. Both of these species are very good table fare and pull pretty good for a small fish. (See A)

•  

• Wahoo: These fish got their name from the first person that caught one. As he/she was fighting the fish, he/she kept screaming out WAAAHOOOO, and that's how they got their name. (See B)

•  

• Barracuda: What a fish, they will eat almost anything and like to tail walk and sky rocket during the battle. (See A)

•  

• A= 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 hr trip
